Earlier this week we set out to purchase snow pants for Abraham and Abigail. After I got them, I checked the weather forecast thinking that for sure, we'd get snow in the next 10 days. It's the end of December, right? Not a flake predicted. I was pretty relieved I bought them so large for so cheap.
Would it be possible to have a winter here with no snow?
For the rest of the day Abraham and Abigail played in their thrifty snow pants (and rain boots--they were a good deal!). Abigail even slept with them under her bed.

Yesterday morning, Abraham was still asking about snow and
really wanted to go outside. Everything worked out for us to be able to bundle up and head out of doors. My sweet children are so fun to watch when their excited! I brought my camera to prove it!

Abraham practiced his super hero flying. Abigail dizzied herself around the clothesline pole.Miss Evangeline snoozed in the fresh air.

As we were playing outside, I got a call from my Grandma, who with my Grandpa, had just picked up my cousin and his wife and baby up from the airport and were heading our way. We met for lunch nearby and had a lovely time visiting. Pete, Jess and Oliver joined us as well. It was a great day for it as a spur of the moment lunch with 3 children to ready for the elements (and dressed for that matter) takes a long time these days!
After Abigail was down for her nap, Abraham was off playing with his toys and I looked out the window. It was snowing! I called Abraham to the window and he was so excited!

| Yay! Snow! |

| We'll let Abraham tackle this shoveling job! |
That's about the extent of the snow we got--just enough to make
today actually feel a bit wintery. Not really enough to necessitate snow pants, but I'm glad we got them nonetheless. I really don't think we ever could go a whole winter without getting some snow pant worthy snow.
