Here and Now (with a little of back then...)

Without a doubt, there is less time to sit at the computer and think up fantastic verbiage to communicate the really normal things that happen here every day. I'm happy to announce to the blog world that normal is coming along swimmingly!

Nathaniel is back at work now and pretty swamped (partly from being out and partly because of the season). I am so glad that he was able to take the time off and now, I'm praying extra hard for him to be able to manage all that comes with having been out of the office for baby's birth--and that I will have a good attitude when he has work extra long to catch up a bit.

Abraham is learning to sound out words. Tonight in the car on the way to Uncle Pete and Aunt Jess's house, he sounded out the word bat. He just wanted to...there was no bat to be seen.

Abigail's most-frequently-spoken-saying award goes to, "Ya. Sure." If I ask her to get a diaper, the nuk, wash her hands, come to me, read a book with me, lay down in her bed, eat her lunch, or anything (almost) she says quickly, "Ya. Sure."

Evangeline has been a crab this week and I'm chalking it up to the fact that she's right between 2 and 3 weeks (actually 3 today!) and right about now, according to the books, it's expected that she's in a growth spurt and her calorie supplier is slightly back-ordered, you might say. She maintains a level of cuteness that totally makes up for it. I'm loving having a newborn again! :-)

I expect more of the same regarding the amount of time that I have to blog (minimal), especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching. I did, however, pull out my old laptop from college and am thinking that if I can stick the computer up on the mantel in our living room or someplace near where we play, maybe I can blog as I go about my day with a minute or two here and there.

And since I'm on my old laptop and I really appreciate blog posts with pictures, here is a photo from my college band trip to Japan. Goodnight!
